Steer Clear of Common Cloud Security Accidents

In 2018, nine hackers were charged with infiltrating more than 100 US universities, more than 100 international universities, 47 private organizations, and even the United Nations and the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. WIRED continues to report that the U.S. Department of Justice says that these hackers were able to steal 31 terabytes of data that are estimated to be worth US$3 billion. Though cloud computing has made it easier for people to collaborate and manage files, there are risks involved as well. These risks do not necessarily pertain to expert hackers, there are mistakes that are commonly made even by the users themselves.
